The Jungle Book 1979 | Candle and Book Set
The Jungle Book is a childhood classic that tells the story of Mowgli, an abandoned boy who is brought up by wolves in the jungle of central India. He encounters many unforgettable creatures such as Baloo and Bagheera, among others, based on ancient beast fables from Rudyard Kipling’s Anglo-Indian childhood.
Our Ginger and Walnut candle will transport you to the jungles of India with its fresh notes of citrus and woody base notes. Irrafan Khan, who voiced Baloo the bear in the Hindi-dubbed version of the 2016 live action film, has said that “even though the book was originally written in English, The Jungle Book is an Indian story at heart” and we hope that this candle will, not only do the book justice, but the beautiful jungles of India too.
Gift Set includes a 100g Ginger and Walnut candle and a vintage copy of the Illustrated Junior Library ‘The Jungle Book’ by Rudyard Kipling printed in 1979 with illustrations by Fritz Eichenberg. Please note the book shows signs of wear and tear appropriate for its age.
