Black Pomegranate | Persephone
Daughter to Demeter and married to the Hades, King of the Underworld, Persephone was forced to spend a third of the year with Hades and the rest of the year with her Mother after being tricked into eating the seeds of a pomegranate.
Often seen as the Goddess of Spring and the revitalisation of the earth, the candle instead evokes her yearly descent into the dark underworld with spicy opening accords, a fruity heart and a mysterious base of tobacco and woods.
Top Notes: Pink Pepper, cardamom, armoise, thyme, frankincense, lime and lemon
Heart Notes: Clove, patchouli, lily, apple, plum and raspberry
Base Notes: Amber, tobacco, cedar wood, guaiacwood, citrus and musks.
